About Gloria
Gloria Calderón Kellett is an award-winning writer, producer, director, actress and activist. Most notably, she was an executive producer, co-creator, co-showrunner, director, and actress on the Emmy-winning sitcom “One Day at a Time”; an executive producer, creator and showrunner of the critically acclaimed Amazon Original series, “With Love” and an executive producer on the critically acclaimed Amazon and Blumhouse Television, series “The Horror of Dolores Roach.” Her new critically acclaimed play ONE OF THE GOOD ONES was the first Latine commission for the Pasadena Playhouse, the TONY WINNING official state theatre of California. It ended its run with the 5th highest grossing box office in the history of the playhouse.
Gloria is a champion for women, the Latino/a/x/e community and other disenfranchised voices through her involvement in a large number of initiatives including UNTITLED LATINX PROJECT, ReFrame, Latinx House, The Creative Coalition, National Women’s History Museum, Emily’s List and many more. The proud daughter of Cuban immigrants, Calderón Kellett graduated from Loyola Marymount University and went on to earn a Masters degree in Theatre from the University of London, Goldsmith’s College.
